Martin Meier – Managing Director

Graduating with both accounting and IT qualifications, Martin embarked on an IT career in 1985 as an analyst programmer and soon became a senior consultant focusing on application and system design, development and integration.

Martin founded Meier Business Systems (MBS) in 1987 which quickly grew into a successful consulting and systems integration firm. Having worked with a variety of vendors, Martin made the significant decision to build a strategic partnership with IBM in the early 90′s becoming a hardware reseller and subsequently extending the relationship to include software and storage. Specialising in unix midrange systems, and in particular multi-value relational databases, in 2001, MBS became the IBM distributor for the U2 (UniVerse and UniData) product family and now proudly distributes these along with other products from Rocket Software.

As a result of MBS’ success, in 2005, IBM extended the alliance to include the Informix suite of products. In 2006 this was further broadened to the full Information Management product range and subsequently the entire IBM software portfolio.

MBS is now a leading worldwide software distributor for IBM and Rocket Software and is selectively adding vendors and products where appropriate to complement its successful range of software products.

Martin has nurtured and managed MBS for over 30 years, successfully achieving year-on-year growth almost every year since its inception. When he is not busy with work he enjoys spending time with the other great loves of his life – his wife and three children.

Brian Egan – U2 Channel Manager Asia Pacific

Brian joined MBS in December 1997 in a Business Development capacity. With over 39 years of experience in the Computer Industry, Brian brings to MBS and, more importantly, MBS clients a highly regarded commitment to the provision of Software Distribution, Information Solutions and Support Services.

Brian is responsible for Software Distribution for the Rocket Software Brand throughout the Asia Pacific region and a number of other related software solutions. With over 100 Resellers in his territory, Brian is certainly kept busy providing assistance and Business Development advice to his partners.

Linda Parkinson – General Manager Enterprise Division

Linda Parkinson is General Manager of our Enterprise Division and is responsible for developing and maintaining our long term business relationships, sales and account management, professional services as well as strategically partnering with other business partners to provide complete solutions to MBS’ U2 clients.

Prior to MBS, Linda was the Technical Services Manager for a large software provider where she was responsible for Technical Support including help desk management, operating system and hardware support, facilities management, education services, upgrade services, managing vendor relationships, account management as well as managing all in-house systems.

Linda and her team are focused on and provide excellent customer service which has earned the support and respect of MBS’ customers. With over 23 years experience in the mutlivalue marketplace, Linda still has plenty of energy, enthusiasm and passion and she enjoys exploring and finding new opportunities and solutions to bring to MBS’ customers.

Ken Chester – Manager IBM Business Unit

Ken is a channel veteran with over 13 years working across the whole spectrum, as a Vendor, a System Integrator, Reseller and a Value Add Distributor. His broad background allows him to bring a wealth of personal experience and expertise to his dealings with our Business Partners.

With over 20 years experience in the IT sector, Ken’s roles have ranged from Business Development through to General Management and he is a valuable asset for our Business Partners at many levels. “A large part of the role involves simplifying the sales and go to market process. Vendors by their nature tend to focus on a point solution or product, however, customers purchase solutions to solve their business needs, and we act as a bridge between the two, helping the Business Partner incorporate a product with their IP to deliver the required solution to the customer. The important part is to make this a repeatable process and to continue to drive revenue into the business partner.”

Ken’s formal marketing qualifications further enhance his value to our business partners by acting as an independent resource to develop and deliver successful marketing campaigns.



ChennyPoedjiharto – Finance & Administration Manager

Chenny joined the MBS Finance and Admin team in 2006 after completing her Bachelor of Marketing and Master of Practising Accounting degree.

Chenny is responsible for overseeing the financial, administrative and operational functions within the company. Her tasks include product fulfilment and invoicing, cash flow management, review and maintenance of company accounting records and other accounting and compliance related tasks. Chenny also handles enquiries from both internal and external customers throughout the day.

Chenny’s hands-on approach has played an instrumental role in providing efficient back-end office support and continually ensures the smooth day to day running of the business.

Sonya Breider – Support Manager

Sonya joined MBS in 2000, and has in excess of 20 years of experience working with various MultiValue platforms. Prior to joining the MultiValue community, Sonya worked as a Distribution Manager for a clothing importer and it wasn’t long before she combined her industry skills with her knowledge of products such as System Builder to spend a number of years working as a Business Analyst, Trainer and Project Manager in the world of Distribution.

In 2003 Sonya took on the role of Support Manager with MBS. This role involves all aspects of working with our customers and Vendor Partners and ensuring that we continue to deliver a high level of service and understanding to our customers. “With the increasing number of products we sell and support I need to ensure that we continue to remain well positioned to assist with all manner of support calls.” says Sonya.

Our customers have come to appreciate and rely on the assistance provided by Sonya and her team and we often receive notes of appreciation from customers that have been helped through a tough situation. Sonya has built up a strong relationship with our clients over the years, and if you have ever had a support issue or query, chances are you have spoken to Sonya – and heard about her beloved Saints – the St Kilda Football team.
